Ma prime adapt 2024, anciennement known as ‘Aide à l’adaptation du logement’, is a new aide for older people and individuals with a disability who need to modify their home in order to live there comfortably and independently. It is available from 1 January 2024. The new aide, which will replace the existing ‘Habiter facile’ and ‘Anchor’ aides, has been designed to simplify and harmonise the different national appropriations. The aide can cover up to 50% or 70% of the cost of the work, depending on the needs of the household.
This new aide is part of the government’s plan to reduce the number of falls in older people by 2025. It aims to improve the quality of life of seniors and persons with a disability by making their homes more comfortable and safe.
The aide can be used to carry out a range of modifications such as installing ramps, barricades, handrails and lifts, replacing baths with showers or replacing the bath with a barrier-free washbasin, changing the type of lighting, reorganising the kitchen and living area, replacing doors with lever handles, modifying the doorways, elarging the windows and enlarging the doors.
This aide will be provided by the Agence nationale de l’habitat (ANAH). It will allow certain menages to carry out works to adapt their housing to their needs as they grow older. This aide will be available starting from November 2021 and will become operational as of 1 January 2024. ma prime adapt 2024
